Vees Place – a place for company
Last updated: 17 August, 2020
Vees Place had to close our activities and services because of lockdown. We plan to re-open in September 2020.
The local authority and social services asked if we could help with shopping and deliveries for the most vulnerable in our community.
We also supplied a local high school with food and household goods to cater for pupil premium children, low income families, key workers and teachers.
Once we had a new system in place, we opened a 'Drop-in service' for people who needed support or just a place for company (social distancing no problem in our centre).
It’s difficult finding volunteers to do the menial tasks like cleaning but fortunately we have succeeded so far.
We’re now looking for a good management structure and trustee members.
