Superheroes surprise the children of Leeds

Last updated: 25 September, 2020

We have various character walkabouts around Seacroft, Gipton and Harehills in Leeds. Simply putting smiles on faces!

During lockdown things have been difficult, particularly for children with little activity to take part in. The reaction to our characters has been amazing. From cars driving by beeping their horns, people waving from windows and lining the paths, and big high fives from all ages. Everyone had something in common – a beaming smile on their face.

We hope to continue this indefinitely. The response was amazing, and our young volunteers took pride in their achievements.

Hidden in a costume playing the invisible heroes every day, many people said their short visit had not just made their day, or week. But it had made their year!

The joy you feel from putting smiles on faces is priceless. We recommend everyone to get involved. After all, it’s nice to be nice.
