Staying together throughout lockdown

Last updated: 9 December, 2021

For almost 3 years, The Nest have organised ‘Safe Sharing Circles’ for men and women. They’re free and happen each week, even during lockdown.

Organisers of The Nest secured ‘exempt’ status from the lockdown rules, after discussions with the local council and police.

This meant that the group could continue to organise support circles in a safe, outdoor space. Which was even more important at a time when loneliness and social isolation grew.

The Nest allows men and women to feel seen, heard, listened to and supported. Often, more than 15 people attend each week to support each other.

And now more and more people want to come together to help prevent loneliness and social isolation. And get support for addictions, depression and suicidal thoughts.
