Outdoor fun for children in Flintshire

Last updated: 25 June, 2021

Saltney Ferry Scout and Guide Group helps young people aged 6 to 17 in Flintshire get outdoors. There are meetings each week and a wide range of activities, which include: camping kayaking climbing archery target shooting trips team building social development It’s all about children having fun!

We do more than run youth activities. Our group headquarters is also a space for all the community to get together. People can use it to run exercise classes, educational groups and other community events or parties. We’re also a polling station during elections.

We welcome young people of all backgrounds and abilities. And respect them as members of the local, national and international community. Our aim is to offer life-changing skills and help young people develop.    Volunteers run the group. Their responsibilities include running our headquarters and keeping our minibus going.

New members are always welcome. We try our best to avoid waiting lists, but this depends on how many adult volunteers we have.
