Local Co-op opened instore foodbank
Last updated: 25 August, 2020
We had to close Breakfast Club during lockdown but were able to continue delivering food parcels to those in need with the help of Tom Chapman, our local Co-op Manager.
Tom offered to open an instore foodbank for us, and the community donated very generously.
Splott Community Volunteers were then able to drop food parcels on doorsteps and hold a conversation with those experiencing loneliness while maintaining social distancing.
Huge thanks go to Tom and the Splott community. We are glad to announce our new takeaway breakfast service from the Old Splott Library will start on 3 September.
