Horse riding helps to heal

Last updated: 8 November, 2021

In 2021 Hooves for Healing trustees made a joint decision to run a ‘one of a kind’ event for its service users.

We organised a fundraising lead rein horse riding and showing event for everyone in the community.

42 children and young people joined us throughout the day. We provided a raffle with the help of local Co-op Member Pioneer Adam Costello and received so many generous donations.

Adam and one of the local Co-op store managers joined us on the day and proved to be a great asset promoting Hooves for Healings cause.

All the people who took part in the event received a beautiful trophy. Parents and carers all looked so proud, and the faces of the children and young people were just amazing.

We wanted to put something back into our community, raise spirits and bring some happiness at a time which has been so difficult for so many. We certainly succeeded. Great team work!
