Camden’s virtual party gives back

Last updated: 28 April, 2020

DJ Jeff Automatic, a resident DJ for Alexandra Palace and Reading Festival, hosted a virtual party for independent charity, Camden Giving.

DJ Jeff played a 90-minute set of pop tunes, dance classics and old school hits and brought together more than 40 people for a virtual party.

Raising over £500 in pay-what-you-can-afford tickets, all funds go to Camden Giving's COVID-19 Charity Fund. 100% of the money will be given to organisations in the borough of Camden who are supporting the most vulnerable people disrupted by coronavirus.

Party-goers said that the evening was 'the first night during the pandemic that would be remembered for good reason'. And that a virtual party meant you could 'do good for others while doing some good for yourself – having fun!'.

At Camden Giving we want to make sure nobody gets left behind because of coronavirus. We also want to fundraise in an engaging way. Hosting a virtual party is a great example of bringing people together at a time of isolation!
