Co-operate is an online community centre. It’s a place to do good things: meet new people, learn a new skill or volunteer. Whatever feels good for your health and wellbeing.
Together, no one has to deal with grief alone
Our communities are at their strongest when we’re supporting each other.

Grief: supporting yourself and others
What is grief
Grief is our own private, inner response to losing something or someone important.
There isn’t a right or wrong way to grieve or a time frame. How you feel and how long grief lasts is different for everyone.
What to say when someone dies
It is normal to be unsure about what to say when someone has been bereaved.
The most important thing is to listen. Be genuine, kind and start with something like, “I’m sorry to hear that your Dad died”.
Stories to inspire you
I’ve set up a befriending service for isolated and lonely people within the area. Together with help from Malmesbury Town Council and Heals charity of Malmesbury, we have over 100 volunteers and have set up a helpline for people to call if they need someone to talk to.
Promote your activity or group
Gardening, yoga, walking. Whatever you do to look after mental health in your community, you can promote here.
Adding your activity will help you:
- find volunteers, supplies and essentials
- reach more people in your area who need support
- tell others about your group or activity's impact in the community
