We're a group who want to ensure that everyone in housing crisis in the borough of Kingston and surrounding areas, however complex their problems, has a pathway out of homelessness.

We’re trying to make things better for people who are facing, or already experiencing, street homelessness. We do this by finding accommodation and providing an individually tailored, 'wrap around' care plan.

What we need

  • People to join the group
  • People to attend the group's activities

  • Arts and craft materials
  • Food and drink
  • Paint and decorating tools
  • Phones, tablets and laptops
  • Sports and fitness equipment
  • Seeds and plants
  • Printers or printing
  • Prizes and gifts

Volunteer for the group

Any adult can volunteer. Roles available will be:

  • assisting with food for people experiencing homelessness in a shelter environment

  • collection of food donations from stores and individuals

  • sorting donations of clothes and essential items

  • coaching people being helped in digital and life skills

  • participating in creative and leisure opportunities for people being helped

  • individual fundraising

  • assisting with general administrative tasks as specified by the Operational Director

Tasks we need help with

  • Helping to run the group or activity
  • Admin
  • Fundraising
  • Coaching and teaching
  • Befriending (for example, chatting to someone, accompanying them on appointments)
  • Preparing and serving food and drink
  • Driving or making deliveries

I'm the Office Adminstrator and Volunteer Co-ordinator. I've been been employed during the past year to assist the Operational Director in the general day to day running of the charity.
