Our mission is to help people make good things happen in communities
We’re a small team in Co-op who want to encourage people to make a difference where they live.
We’re creating services that make it easier for people to come together and change their communities for the better.
The need for community and co-operation is stronger now than ever.
The lockdown may mean communities cannot come together in person, but our mission - to help people make good things happen in communities - has never been more crucial.
We want to start a new co-operation movement across each community in the UK.
Supporting communities since 1844
We’ve been making good things happen in communities for 175 years.
We’ve never been just a food retailer, a funeral director, a general insurer or a legal services business.
We give back all our profits to our members and their communities. That’s what makes us different.
On the main Co-op website you can read more about how we support communities.
And it’s not just about money. We give much more than that. But we want to do even more.
Our vision is to create the one place to go to make things happen
Co-operate is an online community centre for co-operation.
It’s for people who:
care about their community
want to join forces to get things done
It brings people together in communities to make good things happen.
It’s created with communities, for communities, and is owned by communities.
Find out more about our vision on the Co-op blog.
